Tandera offers two categories: Companionship — friendly visits, conversation, card games, errands, grocery runs, pharmacy pickups, folding laundry, tech help, rides to appointments, and wellness check-ins; and Child Care — reliable babysitting, kids activities & enrichment, homework help, and creative play. All services are non-medical — providers do not provide clinical care.
After creating your profile and describing what kind of help you need, Tandera shows you available companions nearby. Review their profiles and connect with the one that feels right.
Absolutely. Many customers book Tandera on behalf of an elderly parent or loved one. You can manage the booking and communication through your own account.
Your comfort matters deeply to us. If a match isn't the right fit, request a different companion through the app or reach out to Joel@Tandera.life — we'll make it right.
Your safety and comfort are our top priority. If you ever feel unsafe, you can report the companion directly in the app — this immediately freezes the booking and contacts our moderation team. Depending on the severity of the issue, we may remove the companion from the platform entirely. If it's simply that the companion wasn't the right fit, you can leave a review so others can see your feedback and book a different companion in the future.
Payments are handled securely within the Tandera app. You'll see service details and rates before confirming any booking. We accept major payment methods and your financial data is always private.

You'll receive a notification through the Tandera app as soon as a customer books your services. You can view all upcoming bookings, details, and customer information directly in your dashboard. Make sure your notifications are turned on so you never miss a request.
Payment is processed securely through the Tandera app after each completed service. When you receive your first booking, you'll be prompted to link your bank account — this is handled securely by Stripe, and your financial information is never shared with or stored within the Tandera app. The customer is charged automatically, and your earnings are deposited directly to your linked bank account. You can track all your earnings and payment history in the app.
During the sign-up process, you'll receive an email that takes you to our partner Checkr, who will run your background check and protect your data. The process is simple — just follow the prompts and provide the required information. Once approved, you'll be notified via both email and the app, and you can then turn your profile live and start accepting bookings.
Absolutely. Tandera companions are independent service providers, not employees — so you're free to hold other jobs, freelance, or pursue other commitments. You set your own schedule and availability, and there are no minimum hours or exclusivity requirements.
