Tandera began with the person Joel loved most — his grandfather.

When it came time to find care, Joel wanted more than what a traditional agency could offer. He wanted to personally hand-select the people who would be by his grandfather's side, to know they were safe through thorough background checks, and to have the ability to change his care the moment it was ever needed.

That search became the reason Tandera exists.

Joel's mission is to combat elderly loneliness and make finding safe, reliable care easier for families everywhere. He wanted to build something he would trust for his own loved ones — and then share that with the world.
